Faun Umwelttechnik enters the race with innovative waste collection vehicles. The vehicles are equipped with the 'Rotopress' diesel-electric hybrid drive. The highlight is the downsizing of the diesel engine on the one hand and the energy recovery during braking on the other. The stored braking energy is used for the next acceleration process. This means that the mechanical braking system is only required for emergency braking and therefore wears less.
