Not surprisingly, women are hardly represented in technical professions: The proportion of women in all technical positions covered by the Kienbaum study is 10%. Women only hold 7% of management positions and 11% of specialist positions. Compared to their male colleagues, they earn around 12% less in management positions. The figure is 17% for specialists and 16% for skilled workers.
