The automotive industry was once again by far the strongest customer sector for Integrated Assembly Solutions in 2012. Compared to 2011, sales rose again by a good 8%; the share of sales increased from 62% to almost 71%. In contrast, turnover with General Industry fell significantly. "However, it must be noted that many projects could not yet be completed in 2012 due to the high order backlog and that a share of sales will be postponed to 2013," Baumtrog explained.
