The IFR estimates that around 93,800 service robots with a value of 16.3 billion US dollars (equivalent to around 12.75 billion euros) will be sold between 2012 and 2015. The International Federation of Robotics continues to see military and milking robots at the top of the list. It also sees great potential in the area of mobile platforms for general use: around 10,500 units are expected to be sold between 2012 and 2015. Sales of logistics systems are expected to grow to over 10,000 units during this period.
