Robot density in the automotive industry is quite high compared to other sectors (general industry). Japan has by far the highest robot density in the automotive industry: Almost 1,600 industrial robots are installed there per 10,000 employees. This is followed by Italy, Germany and the USA with robot densities of between 1,100 and 1,200.
