Sick will bid farewell to Dr. Robert Bauer as Chairman of the Management Board on September 30, 2021. His move to the top of the Sick Supervisory Board is planned for May 2022 to take over from Klaus M. Bukenberger.
Dr. Bauer joined the company in 1994 as Head of Research and Development Automation Technology. From 1998, he held overall responsibility for research and development on the Executive Board. He was appointed to the Management Board on January 1, 2000 and became Chairman of the Management Board on October 1, 2006. At the request of the owner family, he will succeed Klaus M. Bukenberger as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Sick in May 2022. Klaus M. Bukenberger has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2002 and Chairman since 2005. As part of the generational change on the Supervisory Board, he will not stand for re-election to the Supervisory Board in May 2022 after 20 years of service.
