Companies themselves are largely to blame for the lack of basic knowledge about Industry 4.0. This is because they are still largely leaving their employees to prepare for the fourth industrial revolution on their own. 70 percent of companies do not currently offer any training or further education on the subject. Only five percent already offer their employees special courses on Industry 4.0 topics, eleven percent have integrated the topic into existing training courses, and 14 percent are at least preparing training and further education courses on the subject.
