So-called "counting detectors" in computer tomographs show instabilities that cause image interference. Until now, however, the technology was not ready for the market. Dr. Christian Schröter from Siemens Healthcare in Nuremberg and his team developed a technology that enables improved image quality with low radiation exposure for the patient. This also provides doctors with better diagnostic options.
