Roland Berger expects demand for batteries in the mobile machinery segment to grow significantly by 2020. The study focused in particular on industrial trucks (forklift trucks, small tractors and hand-held devices) and cleaning machines. According to the study, the growing demand for batteries in this segment is due in particular to stronger demand from emerging markets.
