A-Drive now has the EL120 actuating cylinder and the ER120 rotary motor in its range. Both comply with the ATEX directives and are therefore suitable for use in potentially explosive environments. The linear actuators in the EL series are driven by a high-torque AC servo motor and a ball screw drive and, according to the manufacturer, are designed for reliable and precise operation over several thousand hours. They are a cost-effective alternative to hydraulic actuators and a durable replacement for pneumatic systems. With a travel speed of 953 mm/s, the actuating cylinder develops a force of up to 5809 N with a maximum travel of 457 mm. It has connection options for almost all servo amplifiers and is protected to IP66. Typical applications include valve and damper settings, for example in the chemical industry, as well as flow control for gas turbines or the fuel supply of marine engines. The ER120 rotary actuator is designed for similar applications, also in hazardous areas. Optionally available as a geared motor, this servomotor achieves up to 3000 rpm and a continuous torque of 467 Nm. The housing is IP65-protected. Both drives are available in versions for voltages from 24 V(DC) to 460 V(AC).
