The readiness measurement shows that almost a fifth of companies in the mechanical and plant engineering sector are already characterized by advanced Industry 4.0 approaches. However, only 1% see themselves as experts. Compared to the manufacturing industry as a whole, mechanical and plant engineering is more advanced.
