The 'SCHO' (Safe Connected Home) application by Indian Abhijit Bose uses battery-free wireless sensors, switches and actuators to create a home control system with security functions. The system can be controlled remotely via a smartphone and an internet-enabled gateway. Presence sensors can be used to switch off all electrical appliances as soon as the residents leave the house.
