The openSafety light curtains from B&R and Datalogic enable new safety concepts. As an openSafety interface is integrated into the light curtain, the hard wiring previously required is no longer necessary. One advantage of the light curtains is the ability to evaluate each beam individually. This allows intelligent muting to be implemented, for example. Additional sensors, as required with previous muting solutions, are no longer necessary.
