In 1984, Siemens introduces a CNC with an NC channel structure. The controller has an integrated software PLC and coordinates four axes and a spindle via an analog coupling. With "Man-Machine-Communication", the machine manufacturer can configure his own user interfaces and thus individualize his machine.
