ContiTech, Hanover: The project "Material innovation for vehicle heating" is nominated. The patented conductive and spreadable polymer-based paste is very easy to integrate into automotive surface materials. This process is carried out by means of screen printing and is suitable for seats, armrests or door panels, among other things. The electric current is passed directly through the paste to generate heat. The heating system is suitable for all vehicles, but especially for electric vehicles, as the energy consumption is only around ten percent compared to traditional heating wires and the heating effect is achieved in a matter of seconds.
