Last but not least, National Instruments also presented three new embedded systems based on the reconfigurable Labview I/O architecture (RIO). One of these is the CompactRIO controller for integrators of industrial applications. The CompactRIO controller contains Intel's Atom E3800 processor in a quad-core version, which is clocked at 1.91 GHz. In addition, a Kintex 7 FPGA from Xilinx is used for parallel calculations across multiple channels, for example for complex filter and control algorithms. With the so-called "Secure Digital Storage", users can determine how they want to store and manage data and how they want to access it.
