Turck, Uprox3 sensor
© Turck
Turck now also offers the "uprox3" inductive proximity switch in an IO-Link-capable version. The intelligent interface turns the sensor with factor 1 into a universal sensor that can be individually parameterized for over 100,000 different requirements. The two separately adjustable switching distances (each as NC or NO contact and PNP or NPN) can be used to set early warning functions for wearing targets, for example. This allows the user to take action before their system fails. Various time functions can also be set, such as a switch-off delay for speed monitoring. In IO-Link mode, the sensor is operated on an IO-Link master. All parameterization and evaluation functions can be accessed. Intelligent data storage with IO-Link 1.1 allows a sensor to be replaced without having to re-parameterize it. The uprox3-IOL already provides further analysis options in the process data, such as application-specific switching points, temperature limit values or an identification number. This can be used to differentiate between 256 different devices. Initially, four variants of the uprox3 IO-Link will be launched: an M12 with a switching distance of up to 6 mm and an M18 with up to 10 mm - both in a chrome-plated brass housing as well as a PTFE-coated variant for welding applications.
