In terms of annual sales, China is by far the largest market for industrial robots worldwide. Japan, the USA, the Republic of Korea and Germany account for 50 percent of the global robot market. Japan occupies a leading position in robot production: Over half of all robot deliveries worldwide came from Japan in 2013. At the same time, sales of industrial robots in Japan fell by nine percent to around 26,000 units. On the other hand, the proportion of robots exported from Japan increased.
