"With increasing digitalization, the fields of application for engineers and IT specialists are becoming broader," says Dr Peter Littig, Education Policy Advisor to the Management Board at the Dekra Akademie. "They therefore need a deeper understanding of the neighboring disciplines." With the ongoing construction boom, architects and civil engineers also have the best opportunities: their share of job vacancies is higher than it has been for six years. This year, they are in 11th place (2015: 19th place).
