With the Siprocess GA700 series, Siemens is introducing extractive gas analyzers with a platform concept. The basis is a basic device with a local user interface, communication interfaces, power supply and the basic electronics and software for the expansion modules. Up to three analyzer modules can be integrated into the base unit. These modules contain the actual analyzer and its sensor-related electronics, including the evaluation software and the necessary interfaces. The first component available is an oxygen analyzer using the paramagnetic alternating pressure method. The Oxymat module enables the parameterization of the smallest measuring ranges: 0 to 0.5 percent with a detection limit of 50 ppm as well as 0 to 100 percent and 99.5 to 100 percent. Modules for other gases will follow successively.
