According to the manufacturer Wago, the compact connection terminal block for all 221 series conductor types saves 40% space compared to its predecessor (222 series). The terminal block family enables the safe installation of solid, fine or stranded conductors. With a permissible rated current of 32 A and a rated voltage of 450 V, the series is suitable for use in 230 V/400 V networks. The transparent housing makes it possible to clearly identify conductors that have not been inserted far enough or stripped to the correct length. According to the supplier, two easily accessible test openings - one in the conductor connection direction and one on the opposite side - create convenient testing conditions even when installed. In addition, the operating levers can be opened with less force. The connection clamps are available in 2-, 3- and 5-conductor versions. They are able to securely clamp conductor cross-sections from 0.14 to 4 mm2 fine stranded and 0.2 to 4 mm2 solid and stranded.
