As part of the Flender Standard Industrial Planetary Gear Units (SIP), Siemens is now offering a highly integrated solution that combines planetary gear unit and geared motor technology as an Integrated Drive System. The integration reduces weight and installation space many times over and provides numerous mounting options. This should enable a high degree of flexibility in the system design. The fully integrated solution offers extensive mounting options such as brakes, encoders or backstops and is available for all common motor standards such as IEC, NEMA, CCC and CSA. As both a coaxial and right-angled shaft arrangement is possible, the gearbox solution allows for a very flexible system design.
