With CAN-IB300/PCI and CAN-IB400/PCI, HMS is offering two universally applicable CAN cards for the PCI bus under the Ixxat brand. The two PCI cards extend the "CAN-IB" series, consisting of PCIe, PCIe Mini and PCIe 104 cards, and will replace the existing "iPC-I 320/PCI", "iPC-I XC16/PCI" and "PC-I 04/PCI" cards in the long term. In addition to a maximum of four high-speed CAN channels, the low-speed CAN standard is also supported. In addition, the interfaces can be equipped with up to four LIN or K-Line interfaces on request. Both cards are available in standard and low-profile format. They are optionally available with galvanic decoupling of the interfaces. In addition to the passive CAN-IB300/PCI variant, the active CAN-IB400/PCI has a 32-bit microcontroller system. Among other things, this enables intelligent handling and active filtering of the messages to be sent and received on the card.
