... an appealing and tidy interior design. The center console made of real wood veneer is intended to create a sophisticated ambience. The steering column lever and handbrake handle - previously rather unusual in Solarcars - demonstrate the vehicle's aspiration to be suitable for everyday use. The partners are planning to register the vehicle for road use. This would prove that the vehicle meets the necessary safety standards. The picture shows driver Lisa Rose, who will be driving the 'SunRiser' at the 'World Solar Challenge' - the biennial world championship of solar cars - in Australia. The student team from Bochum will be competing with 'SunRiser' in the so-called 'Cruiser Class' on October 18, 2015. In addition to suitability for everyday use, the regulations require road approval in the country of origin and at least two seats.
