The service robot can be operated intuitively from a seated or standing position via an easily accessible interaction surface on the head. Cameras and microphones are used to recognize speech, people and gestures. The robot uses gestures such as nodding or shaking its head to clearly indicate whether it has understood the message. Light effects and a laser pointer in the Care-O-bot 4's hand are also used to exchange information.
