The first family member of the new Picocore COM product family from F&S Elektronik Systeme uses an NXP application processor (dual-core with heterogeneous processor architecture) with ARM Cortex-A7 core and ARM Cortex-M4 core. NXP continues its heterogeneous concept with Linux on the ARM Cortex-A7 core and FreeRTOS on the ARM Cortex-M4 core. For multimedia applications, the AP offers OpenGL-ES-2.0, OpenVG-1.1-3D and a 2D graphics accelerator. Up to 1GByte LPDDR3 RAM and up to 32GByte eMMC, as well as USB-OTG, 2x I2C, SPI, 2x UART and SDIO are available. A MIPI-DSI interface is available as a display interface.
