This year's silver winner is the Austrian company FronTone. Their high-speed camera "E-Liner CAM" is mainly used for crash tests of vehicles and vehicle parts. The camera can move parallel to the test object at up to 23 m/s and is accelerated at up to 750 m/s2. A type 1400 e-chain from igus with 181 links is used to ensure that the motor, feedback and camera cables are guided correctly during the high accelerations. Special plates were installed to guide the chain safely.
