The other is Carl Martin Welcker: he has been Vice President of the VDMA since 2010, was Chairman of the Executive Board of the German Machine Tool Builders' Association (VDW) from 2004 to 2010 and has been a member of the VDMA Executive Board since 2001. Welcker has been Managing Partner of Alfred Schütte, a manufacturer of multi-spindle automatic lathes and 5-axis CNC grinding machines, since 1993.
