Another new addition to the u-remote portfolio is the SSI module. This allows SSI absolute encoders to be connected decentrally to solve positioning tasks. The module is equally suitable for 5 V and 24 V SSI encoders. Various transmission rates can be parameterized for the single-channel SSI module (RS-422 differential signal), namely 125 kHz, 250 kHz, 500 kHz, 1 MHz, 1.5 MHz and 2 MHz. The delay time can also be set over a wide range (1 μs, 2 μs, 4 μs, 8 μs, 16 μs, 32 μs, 48 μs and 64 μs). The data width is 8 to 32 bits, with binary and gray code data formats. The SSI mode can be selected as listening or master mode. The cable length extends up to a maximum of 320 m at 125 kHz and is shielded.
