The first IVO catalog was published in 1912. It contained 36 counter models, including piece counters, stroke counters, revolution counters, meter counters, hand revolving counters and hand piece counters. The stroke counter shown on the front determined the number of stitches - and therefore the length - of the knitted fabric.
