The wheel sensors developed by Dr. Peter Faubel of the Mobility Division in Braunschweig help to keep track of the locations of freight wagons in large shunting yards. The sensors transmit the measurement data of the trains wirelessly and are currently being tested on the track network of the Rhine port in Karlsruhe.
