The
programmable electronic modules of the SM13 series from a.b.Jödden contain a stabilized carrier frequency oscillator, a phase-dependent demodulator and signal processing. The analogue measured value of the inductive displacement transducer is digitized with an integrated 16-bit A/D converter and processed in a microcontroller. The characteristic curve of the connected displacement transducer can be recorded on the measuring machine and stored in the integrated EEPROM. With this correction data, accuracies of the output signals ≤0.1 % of the measuring range are achieved. The digital information is converted into standardized output signals 0(4) to 20 mA or 0 to 5(10) V using a 16-bit D/A converter. An LED signals the center position of the plunger. The electronic module connected to the supply voltage is programmed by connecting the ANF or END connections to +UB for at least 2 seconds or by briefly pressing the ANF or END buttons on the housing of the electronic module.
