Gas measuring system for fruit ripening systems from Smartgas Mikrosensorik
© Smartgas Mikrosensorik
Smartgas presents a gas measurement system for fruit ripening systems that users can integrate into a measurement and control system without requiring knowledge of gas processing and gas measurement. Infrared sensors measure the concentrations of the gases ethylene and carbon dioxide, which are important in the ripening process. To protect the sensors, which are housed together in one casing, selected filters are integrated to prevent particles or humidity from influencing the measurement. At the same time, they ensure that the sensors are also protected in the event of incorrect operation in the system. As the gas sensors react very quickly, the system can also be used for multi-chamber systems. The unit can be connected to various control systems as well as to all PLCs available on the market with RS485 and an analog interface (4 to 20 mA).
