With a total of almost 15,000 BMW i3s sold worldwide, this is the first time a German car manufacturer has recorded attractive sales figures on the e-mobility market. According to the ZSW, this is all the more remarkable given that the i3, unlike the other models mentioned, has only been on sale for just over a year. Nissan Leaf (57,000), Tesla Model S (28,000) and the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In (26,000) are the frontrunners in terms of new registrations worldwide in 2014.
