The user sets a speed range above or below which the outputs switch. Functions and parameters can be set using buttons and the LED display on the device. During operation, the display shows the current pulse, count or speed values depending on the set mode. The two colors (red / green) allow the user to see immediately whether the machine is in the good range or whether limit values have been exceeded. The display can also be rotated electronically by 180 degrees, allowing flexible installation positions. In addition to setting directly on the device, the new encoders can also be fully and conveniently parameterized via IO-Link.
