The start-up Volatiles is developing a platform for the flexible control of modern LED lighting systems in houses and apartments. The system uses sensors and a connection to internet services to independently detect people or external circumstances and adjust the lighting accordingly. For example, the living room lamp can adapt to the time of day or night: It changes its red light component accordingly and thus remains in harmony with the biorhythm. A lamp in the entrance area can increase the blue light component in rainy weather, reminding the occupant to take an umbrella with them.
