Automation technology makes it into the evening program on ZDF: On December 1, two developers from Festo and a researcher from the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation (IPA) receive the "German Future Prize 2010", endowed with 250,000 euros, from the hands of Federal President Christian Wulff for the Bionic Handling Assistant, which is modelled on an elephant's trunk.
