
Teradyne has appointed Kim Povlsen as the new President of Universal Robots.
Povlsen is a native Dane who, according to Teradyne, brings global leadership skills coupled with a high-tech and commercial perspective. He will lead Universal Robots' next phase of growth and innovation. With this appointment, Teradyne acknowledges the Danish roots of the robotics company while supporting the expansion and further development of the local robotics community.
"I am pleased to introduce Kim Povlsen as the new President of Universal Robots," said Greg Smith, President of Teradyne's Industrial Automation Group and Acting President of Universal Robots. "Under his leadership, we can accelerate growth in new applications and market volume for cobots."
Kim Povlsen has held various senior business and technology leadership positions at Schneider Electric. Most recently, as Vice President Strategy & Technology, he was responsible for technology strategy and execution within this global organization.
