Prof. Gunther Olesch, Chief Representative of Phoenix Contact and Head of Human Resources at the company until mid-2020, expects the company to catch up. "We were very reluctant to recruit staff because of coronavirus. As soon as a vaccine puts an end to the pandemic, we will resume full steam ahead. We are really confident here."
Due to coronavirus, Phoenix Contact had shelved its personnel planning for 2020. "We will resume this once the pandemic is over," Olesch clarifies.
Olesch is not worried about not being able to fill the positions due to too much competition and points to Phoenix Contact's good performance in employer competitions and rating portals such as kununu. "We have a rating of 4.1 here. A rating like that is very rare for industrial companies with a three-shift system."
