This allows the company to easily integrate third-party devices such as safe light curtains, encoders, laser scanners or drives into automation solutions in the field of safety technology. This also applies to modular devices that are connected and configured via the graphical user interface of 'Automation Studio'. The firmware handling function from B&R is also available for all Powerlink and OpenSafety devices from third-party manufacturers. All devices are automatically updated to the required firmware version during start-up. In addition to automatic firmware upgrades, firmware downgrades are also possible if required.
