The Simatic ET 200 product family of decentralized peripherals is being expanded to include the new Simatic ET 200AL product line. The device line with a high degree of protection IP67, particularly compact design, low space requirement and low weight is specially designed for distributed applications in confined spaces and in motion. The new devices are mounted on site directly in a machine or assembly line, for example on drag chains, where they integrate the sensors in confined spaces using M8 connection technology. Simatic ET 200AL can be flexibly mounted in all installation positions using front or cross bolting, for example on support profiles. The robust devices are suitable for use from minus 25 to plus 55 degrees Celsius. With module widths of 30 or 45 millimetres and up to 32 modules per station, the new Simatic ET 200AL device generation has a high IO quantity structure for a wide range of applications.
