The COM Express Type 6 module family MSC C6B-8S from MSC is now also available with the Intel Core processors of the fourth generation (code name Haswell) with two computing cores. In addition to the aforementioned embedded module with the quad-core Intel Core i7-4700EQ processor (2.4 GHz, 3.4 GHz in Turbo Boost mode), four variants with two computing cores are available. Modules are available with the Intel Core i5-4400E (2.7/3.3 GHz) or i5-4402E (1.6/2.7 GHz) processor as well as with the Intel Core i3-4100E (2.4 GHz) or i3-4102E (1.6 GHz). The Thermal Design Power (TDP) is 37 W and 25 W respectively. Depending on the type, the processors support Intel AMT 9.0 Technology, Intel 64, Intel Virtualization Technology, VT-d Virtualized I/O Support, Intel Trusted Execution Technology, the Intel Advanced Encryption Standard and Intel Turbo Boost Technology. The family integrates the Intel 8-Series Platform Controller Hub (PCH) QM87. Two fast dual-channel DDR3L SDRAM modules (1333/1600) with a maximum memory capacity of 16 Gbytes ensure high computing performance with low power consumption. Three digital display interfaces are available for connecting three independent, high-resolution displays, which can be used as DisplayPort 1.2 with multi-stream support or HDMI with a resolution of up to 3800 × 2400 pixels.
