Third place went to the team from the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau: Björn Kretzschmar, Tommy Müller, Katja Meinel and Sabrina Lederer (from left to right, not shown in the picture are Sebastian Stelzner and Michael Schramm) with their 'xPanel' project. The students are tackling a shortcoming of motion detectors: Conventional motion detectors often consume too much electricity, as they are triggered not only by people but also by animals and then light up for nothing.
