By the end of 2011, foreign investors had minimally reduced their direct investments in the German electrical and electronics industry compared to 2010 - from 32.9 to 32.5 billion euros. This means that of the approximately 4,000 German electrical and electronics companies, 737 also have one or more foreign direct investors. In 2011, the number of companies with foreign direct investment holdings and the number of employees both fell by one percent. Revenues, on the other hand, climbed by eight percent.
