IMX12 device family from Turck
© Turck
With the IMX12 device family, Turck is launching Ex isolating barriers and Ex analog signal isolators in a 12.5 mm narrow housing. The up to four 2-pole connection terminals - each on the Ex and safe side - can now also be used to implement 2-channel temperature measuring amplifiers in a 4-wire PT100 connection. The 'IMX12-DI' Ex isolating switching amplifier even transmits input frequencies that were previously reserved for special frequency converters. Measured values are resolved at up to 15,000 Hz and enable precise measurements without the negative influence of signal conversion. Thanks to a special electronic design, the effects of influencing factors such as temperature or voltage fluctuations have been reduced in the 'IMX12-AI' Ex analog signal isolator. According to the manufacturer, this reduces the influence of the interface device on the overall performance of a complete measuring circuit. The devices in the series can be used across the board in a range from 10 to 30 V(DC) and in functionally safe circuits up to SIL2.
