With the Andox embedded app box from Emtrust, users can run their own apps on the 96 x 96 x 47 mm system. The operating systems are Android and Linux. Apps can be created using the free Android Developer Tool and can be loaded directly onto the device via a client port, a mini-USB. According to the manufacturer, the big advantage is that the system can run a wide variety of applications by swapping two micro SD cards. The ARM-i.MX6-based panel PC is equipped with a 3.5-inch touch TFT and is already CE-certified. The system has 1GbE, USB, HDMI (FullHD), CAN, RS232/485 and GPIO interfaces. There are also two 230 V switching relays on board as standard. With the internal Mini PCIe slot, the range of functions can be expanded with a UMTS, WLAN or BT radio module, for example.
