With the samos Plan 6 configuration software, Wieland Electric offers support for programming the 'samos Pro Compact' safety controller. The free programming tool is graphically and intuitively structured and enables flexible programming without knowledge of PLC programming languages. The software enables both automatic and manual hardware configuration. Users have access to a library of over 40 certified and tried-and-tested function blocks. The reduced speed and standstill monitoring in accordance with EN 61800-5-2 can also be controlled as a function block. Users can also increase the functionality of the tool by defining and managing sensors and function blocks in corresponding libraries. Even complex safety tasks are easy to program, as all inputs and outputs and up to 300 function blocks can be freely used in each individual project. Thanks to the simulation function with integrated logic analyzer, the programmed safety functions can already be checked on the PC. The software has numerous interfaces and is compatible with all Windows operating systems including Windows 10.
