Fortec has added an embedded computer in the Pico-ITX form factor to its range: The
KTAM33874/pITX from Kontron is equipped with a 'Sitara 3874' processor from Texas Instruments, a single-core processor in ARM's Cortex-A8 architecture. The computer runs the Linux, Android and Windows WEC7 operating systems. The board is designed for the extended temperature range of -40 to 85 °C. In addition to an 800 MHz processor, the board offers a 3D graphics accelerator with which it can control two independent full HD displays. It also has an HDMI1.3 and an LVDS interface. The flash memory offers space for up to 16 Gbytes of application data and program code; the memory can be expanded via the built-in microSD slot. Hard disks and DVD players are connected via SATA and mSATA. The board has up to five USB 2.0, two RS-232 and one RS-435 interfaces for connecting peripheral units. 26 GPIOs, I2C, UART and an SP output connect the computer to measuring devices and application-specific input and output units. Communication with the outside world takes place via two Ethernet and two CAN bus interfaces. There is also a SIM card slot for MiniPCIe modem cards.
