Wachendorff Automation from Geisenheim in the Rheingau-Taunus district literally earns its money with precision: the 'Top 100' company manufactures sensors for measuring position, distance, length and speed in mechanical and plant engineering as well as in mobile machinery and elevator construction. The company's 42 employees deliver ideas like on an "assembly line" - on average, each employee submits over 17 suggestions for improvement per year. 85 percent of these are implemented. At the same time, reliability and solidity are very important to the Hessians. "As our products will be used reliably for many years, we don't always want to jump on the latest trends. We prefer to focus on durability and safety," says Managing Director Robert Wachendorff (pictured), who is also the company's Sales Manager.
