The start-up FabCap by Tom Weirig from Munich has developed a particularly cost-efficient, mobile 3D printing photo booth for people. Visitors can be photographed in the booth and receive a three-dimensional, detailed image of themselves rather than a photo, as was previously the case. This is made possible by the use of a new type of 3D recording technology that produces high-quality 3D models at a fraction of the cost of current methods. The stand can be operated at major events, in department stores, airports or pedestrian zones, thus reaching new target groups for the "three-dimensional photography" of people.
